The Local Stool

The Local Stool project explores material boundaries by creating a place-based narrative between local construction and timber waste.

In collaboration with London tree surgeons and construction companies, this project explores how design can benefit the local ecology and economy by focusing on the use of domestic materials and local production.

The business model proposes to use an inner-city closed-loop manufacturing system, to expand local biodiveristy and offer meaningful, crafts-based employment to the community.
