A series of lamps crafted from unfired London construction clay, designed to be simple to construct and easy to break down for recycling.
The circular design system embraces both the fragility of the material and the transient nature of trends, in order to meet a growing commercial demand for temporary and progressive design.
Adaptable to contemporary contexts such as interior spatial styling, stage design, or brand storytelling (often requiring short-term solutions), Temporary Constructions can repurpose materials and take on limitless forms.
By integrating temporary objects into a permanent system, I aimed to manage product life cycles more sustainably, minimising the resources required to meet demand.
Since its inception, the concept of Temporary Constructions has evolved through various forms, demonstrating its versatility and adaptability as a design approach.
The same clay has been rehydrated and reshaped into new designs several times already, meaning the products are time sensitive and completely unique.
