OffBeat Folk Film Club is UK’s only dedicated film club to celebrate the folk and working culture of the British Isles.

The OffBeat Folk Film Festival is a new celebration of this; building on the success of OffBeat Folk Film Club, the festival brings together archive content and contemporary storytelling to help contribute to a living archive of British culture, traditions, and communities.

I was commissioned by Offbeat to design and make awards for 4 winning categories at the festival; Best in Folk, Best Sound and Music, The Community Award, and The OffBeat Award

It was my intention to design an abstract sculpture that takes influence from ancient monoliths of the British Isles.

I used handbuilding and rough cut finishing techniques to create a hollow 3D sculpture, that mimics standing stones such as Mên-an-Tol and Caherlagh.
